Cal 1 Card updates on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

*NOTICE OF TEMPORARY SERVICE RESTRICTIONS AND MODIFIED CARD ISSUANCE PROCESSES*

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Cal 1 Card photo ID is issued to provide a standardized / secure method for identifying valid/active members of the campus community and their respective eligibility for access to applicable services, benefits, and facilities on campus.

Away from campus, the Cal 1 Card has no functional value. Accordingly, we only issue the Cal 1 Card to the eligible cardholder themselves after verifying their identity via a government-issued photo ID in person on campus.

As part of the University’s evolving effort to limit the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), campus buildings have been locked and access permissions have been restricted.  Accordingly, in-person support services at the Cal 1 Card office (e.g. issuance of new or replacement cards) are currently available by appointment only Monday – Friday (excluding administrative holidays) from 10AM – 4PM.

A separate campus health and safety mandate requires the use of face coverings at all indoor and outdoor locations. Accordingly, as part of our employment and consistent with the requirements of corresponding city, county, and state orders, Cal 1 Card staff are compelled to deny access and refuse service to anyone that refuses to comply.
